kristeena here.ain't anyone gonna update the band's blog ?it's kinda dead,erm,i mean very dead.anyways,i was thinking of changing the background music.oregon has been around since july.time for a change.=]
new blog music would be 'A Journey Through Final Fantasy VIII'(live recording).fast and challenging piece,especially for the trumpet section.(pay attention to the beginning part and all the movements)the notes are kinda high.haha.it's a totally different sounding piece from oregon,but i guess it's equally long,or maybe slightly longer.hope you guys don't mind me changing the music.
wahah,i always feel so inspired after listening to it.hope it gives you guys the same inspiration,and motivation.regardless of whether it's in your studies,or band.wanna let you guys know that the current band's standard and strength is not very ideal.(from what i last heard,esp. during the national day's performance with you guys.it was very bad)but nevertheless,that's not the end.work harder than ever to achieve better results in the future SYF.practice running scales up and down.'i recommend' is a good book,the same goes for 'symphonic band technique'.
hope the current band members realize that band is NOT just a cca.band should be your life,and everything else.band should mean the entire world to you.if you're not feeling this way,than i guess you're not really into music.history lessons are taught in class,so that we would not repeat history itself.so,right here,right now,i'm gonna teach the bandits,a part of band's history,or simply put it,i'm being realistic here,and do not want you guys to regret your past actions each time the SYF is over.why regret it later,when you can actually decide the band's future ?to the current sec ones,please la,practice,show interest in your band,in your instrument.to the current sec threes,or soon-to-be sec fours,practice harder than your juniors,guide them,and lead them.to the sec twos,just practice,practice,and more practice.no band can get Gold for SYF by practising hard only for two to three weeks,moreso without first having the foundation.stop the two to three weeks of non-stop last minute practices.the best result that you can drill out from these last minute band practs,is another Bronze award in the SYF,or maybe even another COP.stop playing the same old pieces over and over again.the band cannot improve.
